(a.k.a. All the Flavor, None of the Drive-Thru Regret)
You know those days when you’re craving a Big Mac… but also trying to pretend you’re an adult who makes responsible food choices?
Enter: The Big Mac Bowl. Same iconic flavours. Same messy satisfaction. Zero soggy bun. Zero judgment.
This bowl is basically a cheeseburger that went to Pilates and got its life together. It’s crunchy, savoury, saucy, and dangerously easy to eat straight out of the bowl while standing at the kitchen counter saying, “Just one more bite.”
Ingredients
For the Beef
1 lb ground beef
Seasoning salt, to taste
Garlic (fresh minced or garlic powder – no rules here)
For the Bowl
Shredded iceberg lettuce
Sweet white onion, finely diced
Dill pickles, chopped
Shredded cheese (cheddar or marble work best)
For the Sauce
Compliments brand Burger Sauce (Safeway) or
Homemade “Mac-ish” sauce (recipe below 👇)
HOW to Make It
Brown the Beef
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Season generously with seasoning salt and garlic. Drain excess fat if needed (or don’t, this is a safe space).
Build the Base
Add a generous handful of shredded lettuce to a bowl. This is your crunchy foundation.
Layer Like a Pro
Top with hot beef, sweet onions, pickles, and shredded cheese. The heat from the beef will slightly melt the cheese, which is exactly the vibe we’re going for.
Sauce It Up
Drizzle with burger sauce like you mean it. Be bold. This is not the time for restraint.
Mix & Devour
Toss everything together or eat it layered—either way, it’s a win.
Optional Homemade “Mac” Sauce
If you’re feeling extra:
½ cup mayo
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp pickle relish
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Mix and try not to dip everything you own into it.
✨ Why You’ll Love This Bowl
Big Mac energy without the bun coma
Customizable (extra pickles = elite choice)
Meal-prep friendly
Kid-approved, adult-obsessed
Basically, if a cheeseburger and a salad had a delicious, slightly unhinged baby—this would be it.
